Early access

Any speaker.
Now AirPlay‑ready.

arply turns hardware you already own into a full AirPlay 2 audio receiver — no Apple hardware, no subscription, nothing sent to the cloud.

How it works

How arply gets audio to your speaker

AirPlay is a protocol, not a piece of hardware. arply speaks it fluently — so anything that can play audio can join your Apple devices' AirPlay menu.

Source

Your Apple device

iPhone, iPad, or Mac — streaming over AirPlay 2 exactly like it always has.

Receiver

arply

Runs quietly on your network, speaks AirPlay natively, decodes to clean PCM.

Output

Your speaker

Any DAC, amp, or powered speaker already in your setup.

Why it's different

Local network only

Audio stays on your Wi‑Fi. No account, no cloud relay, no telemetry phoning home.

Not affiliated with Apple

An independent, unofficial implementation of the AirPlay protocol, built by someone who wanted more speakers to support it.

Open, non-commercial

A small, readable codebase and hardware design — inspect it, build it, modify it, send a pull request. Free for personal and non-commercial use; reselling it needs permission. Firmware is Non-Commercial licensed, the hardware design is CC BY-NC-SA 4.0.
